Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR)
Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR) is a therapeutic approach guided by the adaptive information processing (AIP) model, that explains how trauma is stored in the brain's neural network. Trauma can be encoded deep within our body and mind and previously unprocessed trauma and memories can manifest as dysfunctional traits, behaviors and beliefs that result in anxiety, stress, and negative self-talk that prevent you from fully enjoying life. The eye movements used in EMDR help unlock the system and allow the brain to process the unconscious material. Through EMDR you can tackle unprocessed traumatic past and negative beliefs by opening new channels and accelerating new experiences.
