Therapy for Children and Teens

One of our greatest passions as a therapist is utilizing my experience in the medical field. We have worked with adults and children of all ages.

Meet Olena

I’m a Licensed Clinical Social Worker in the state of Illinois, with a B.A. in Psychology from Governor’s State University and an M.A. in Social Work from the University of Illinois at Chicago. I’m also a certified yoga instructor, with 200 hours of specialized training in Yoga and Mindfulness-based interventions, and I enjoy incorporating principles of Yoga into my work. Aside from providing and learning about therapy I enjoy staying active outdoors though hiking and bicycling, and love spending time with my husband and two sons preparing traditional Ukrainian treats, and enjoying good films. It is my hope that as your therapist, I will lead you to find authenticity for a richer and fuller life.

My Approach

When everything seems out of our control, living a happy life can feel nearly impossible. I want to empower you to find happiness and fulfillment in life, no matter the circumstances through mindful practices that will foster the connection between mind and body, leading you towards self discovery and healing.

Choosing a therapist is a deeply personal experience. I provide a 15 minute consultation at no charge, so that we can get to know each other better. The only way to truly decide whether I’m the therapist for you is to come in for a session (or attend one virtually). I pride myself on my extensive knowledge and previous experience in chronic health conditions, childbirth trauma, infertility, substance abuse, and culture.

If you’ve recently decided to see a therapist for the first time, you may be confused about how it works. Therapy is an individual experience and can vary greatly depending on each person. You can expect me to listen to and address your concerns with thoughtful questions. Though I won’t have an answer to every question you ask, my goal is to guide you towards finding the answers and solutions you need, for yourself.

I usually recommend starting with therapy once or twice a week. As time goes on, we will determine when to decrease therapy based on our agreement with your progress and development. Therapy sessions typically last 50 minutes.
